GROUP DEKKO - ECA

Group Dekko & ECA (Electri-Cable Assemblies) originally were two seperate manufacturers of power and data solutions for the contract furniture sectors. While both leaders in the industry on their own a few years back, the two decided to combine forces and merger.

 

ECA was one of Iconic Revolution's first clients. For ECA I designed the "Electri-Wave" Power & Data trough, the ECA Pop-up Power & Data Grommet as well as Enclave, A slat-wall power & storage solution for work stations.

 

Sometime after those original projects with ECA we were approached by Group Dekko to bring their brand further into the marketplace with a line of product that would set them apart from the competition. For Group Dekko I designed the ASHLEY line of power and data receptacles. The line offered cohesive power (RPT) solutions for above, below work surface as well as an option for flush-mount - and inset mounting. The line was debuted at NeoCon in 2015 for which "The Ashley Duo - Bezel" received "Best of NeoCon" Gold Award in the Workplace Technologies category.

Recently at the end of 2019 I was asked to develop concepts for a new boutique-style sub-brand, "ECA by Dekko". The design brief was based on bringing new and exciting forms and compositions for "above surface" power and data solutions that would give this new brand excitement when launched into the marketplace. The last images are a small group of those concepts that I had developed. If chosen, a product launch is scheduled for late 2021.
